My client is looking for an experienced bookkeeper for their growing business based in Chorleywood, undertaking all duties normally associated with the role of a Senior Bookkeeper. This is a full-time role and is office based.

Systems experience required:

  • Sage 50 – Good working knowledge of Sage
  • Excel – intermediate level or above
  • Word & Outlook– intermediate level or above

Main duties and experience required

  • To reconcile Balance Sheet Control Accounts monthly, especially:
    • Bank accounts
    • Inter Company
    • Stock and WIP
    • Deposits received and paid
    • Company Bank payments
    • Process and post monthly petty cash and credit card expenditure journals.
    • Undertake daily bank reconciliations on all bank accounts.
    • Updating the sales team of any receipts
    • Compile and post Sales and Purchase Invoices and to update Evolution system  periodically
    • Maintain stock book movements and stock book master files
    • Editing intercompany sales/purchases
    • Daily update of API linked information from Evolution system to Sage
    • Maintain month and year end file of the main balance sheet accounts
    • To calculate, process and post monthly journals including Stock and work in progress

Other duties:

  • Compile monthly, Timesheet Hours spreadsheet for monthly Payroll submission.
  • Run days books in assisting in preparation of the quarterly Vat return on MTD
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
