My client is expanding and growing and is looking to take on a new starter looking for a career in Financial Planning. This role would ideally suit graduates, school leavers or career changers, preferably with some knowledge and/or a passion for financial services.

The role will offer structured career development encompassing client administration, analysing client circumstances and making recommendations on achieving goals, report writing and being supported in becoming level 4 diploma qualified. 

Job purpose: 

As a Financial Services Trainee you will be enrolled on a 4-year training programme. Your responsibilities will develop as you do, ranging from building foundational knowledge with the administration team in year 1 and moving into the more technical paraplanner role in year 2. You can choose your ongoing specialism as a Senior Paraplanner or Financial Planner with both routes leading to Certified status with the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI)

Key objectives:

  • Assist the company in providing a comprehensive financial planning service to clients
  • Strengthen client relationships through effective and timely service
  • Delivering high quality, compliant, ethical service to clients
  • Develop an understanding of all roles within the firm and how they interact
  • Take tasks away from advisers that could be done by Paraplanner/Administrator

Role Development:

  • The successful candidate will be placed on a 4 year training programme during which time longer term career planning options will be mutually agreed.
  • You will be supported to study for the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning if not already held
  • You will develop as an effective administrator supporting advisers in preparing for client meetings including booking and ensuring compliance requirements are met, learn post meeting processes and develop ongoing knowledge of systems and tools

Education and training:

  • Diploma Qualification – The candidate will be supported to study for the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning if not already held
  • The candidate will be trained in performing the administration and introduced to the paraplanner role within the firm

The role is paying from £23,000 - £26,000pa depending on experience and qualifications
