As a Warehouse Operative you will deal with goods and products that come into the warehouse. Daily tasks would include, moving stock around by hand or using forklift truck, picking and packing orders and booking in inbound deliveries and customer returns.

Working hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5pm with 1 hour for lunch with occasional overtime. 

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Logistics Director and working closely with the warehouse / product / sales teams with efficiency and commitment to complete your work and strive to maintain the business performance targets. You will be responsible for the following: 

  • Loading and unloading delivery vehicles, by hand or with a forklift truck.
  • Checking for damaged or missing items and then sorting stock for storage in the warehouse.
  • Taking goods to the appropriate storage space.
  • Keeping a record of the stock on the warehouse management system.
  • Operating a forklift truck to move and rearrange stock and ensure that products are stored safely and labelled correctly and safely.
  • Picking orders using a hand-held scanner from the storage space and bringing them for packing or to the loading bay for transportation.
  • Packing orders and processing via relevant courier
  • Goods in processes including quality control, booking in inbound deliveries and processing customer returns
  • Loading goods on to delivery vehicles.
  • Carry out annual/perpetual stock tacking process.
  • Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse.

Previous experience of using forklifts desirable but not essential
