Our client is looking for a client services manager for their busy and expanding financial services company based on the outskirts of Berkhamsted.

You will be ideally experienced in working in the financial sector, with either a diploma in financial services or be a qualified independent financial advisor.

Relevant Skills and Knowledge

 Ability to maintain accuracy when working under pressure to meet deadlines. 

  • Be working towards / maintain the technical Financial Services knowledge and preferably a relevant qualification. 
  • Good administration and numeracy with a high degree of accuracy. 
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of the firm’s record keeping requirements. 
  • Excellent written and communication skills. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel packages essential. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills with ability to effectively manage own workload. 
  • Understanding of the provision of advice to clients in a compliant manner.

General Responsibilities

  • Offer general support to the Financial Advisers, Paraplanner and Compliance team, as required. 
  • Comply with the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 and the relevant FCA rules at all times.
  • Comply with the relevant Compliance, Data Protection, TCF, T&C, Financial Crime and Anti-Money Laundering Procedures of the firm at all times. 
  • Follow appropriate ethical standards within the firm at all times. 
  • Ensure all dealings with clients are carried out in a professional and courteous manner. 
  • Ensure all supporting documentation is maintained as per company procedures. 
  • Maintain all standards of performance as required by the firm. 
  • Establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with all team members.

Specific Responsibilities

Liaise with Providers for policy information and communicate outcomes, as needed. 

  • Obtain illustrations, valuations as required. 
  • Process new business applications and track them to completion. 
  • Prepare documentation for client appointments. 
  • Arrange client appointments for Financial Advisers existing clients. 
  • Sending prepared documentation to clients. 
  • Respond to client enquiries over the telephone and/or by letter. 
  • Updating of back-office systems/client management systems as needed. 
  • Other ad-hoc administrative project work that may be required. 
  • Any other reasonable tasks that may be required by the business. 
  • Meet and greet clients 
  • Electronic diary management 
  • Receive and implement requests from Financial Advisers and Paraplanner. 
  • Provide the administration support to Financial Advisers and the Paraplanner           

This is a permanent part time role for 25 hours per week working 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, the 5 hours worked can flexible within 9am – 5.30pm.

The role comes with 25 days holiday and pension. The salary is paying up to £20,000pa (up to £30,000pa, full time equivalent)
