Part Time Front of House Administrator

Radlett

£10,800 - £13,800 per annum

We are looking for an excellent administrator with strong communication skills to work with our clients in Radlett. The role will be part time, 9am – 5.15pm Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

The role:

  • Reception duties, including answering calls and taking messages – assisting where you can. Also meeting and greeting visitors.
  • Ensure smooth running of the post room including maintenance and topping up of the franking machine and purchase of postage stamps.
  • All incoming mail to be sorted, dated, allocated and delivered to Partners.
  • Sorting and franking of outgoing post.
  • Organise special deliveries and couriers when required.
  • Maintenance of office petty cash including maintain float, paying expenses, monthly reconciliation and liaison with Accounts department.
  • Date and register all incoming cheques and supply details to Accounts.
  • Maintenance of register for deeds.
  • Process request for files and deed retrievals to St Albans office.
  • Monitor stationery, catering and IT consumable levels and prepare orders as necessary.
  • Act as a witness for Will signing etc.
  • Managing meeting room bookings within the Radlett office.
  • Ensuring that the client areas are maintained and well presented.
  • Undertake overflow copy or audio typing provided from other secretaries in the office.
  • Update database for engrossing documents.
  • Administration associated with the opening and closing of files.
  • Preparation of searches, SDLT, completion statements and invoices.
  • Photocopying and scanning.

Skills and attributes:

  • Solid administration experience in a solicitors office is essential
  • Previous secretarial experience would be desirable
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Organisation skills including the ability to prioritise work
  • Initiative
  • Good IT skills
