The ICT Support Engineer role requires the following skills and attributes -

  • Ability to manage and prioritise the work load
  • Understanding of Computer Software/Hardware/Networking principles & protocols including Active Directory, Windows 2008/2012 Server, Exchange 2010+
  • Advanced networking experience with DNS, DHCP, VLAN & TCP/IP
  • Network printing & scanning environments / Hardware trouble shooting & repair
  • Full knowledge of Microsoft products / *Azure exposure plus
  • Full Driving Licence / MCP qualification

Key Responsibilities are

  • Prospect site surveys / suitability for the company's software + identify additional items required.
  • Customer site surveys – relevant to hardware upgrades / additions / customer courtesy visits
  • Customer hardware and software installations & payment Collections
  • Remote/Site Customer Hardware & Networking support
  • Maintaining customer inventory on the company's support system
  • Customer support calls : logging & closing
  • Issuing Customer call out sheets for chargeable work

In-house Responsibilities

  • Maintaining internal Network Hardware Infrastructure / Anti-Virus / Cloud platform
  • Internal hardware/network maintenance : servers / Security / Tidiness / Safety
  • Staff hardware maintenance/updates/Emails
  • Maintaining sales goods stock levels / Monthly stock takes / Receiving / Storing goods
  • Premises Security/CCTV Control
  • Inventory register of equipment on premises
