Based in the UK, the company is an Exclusive European wide importer and distributor for a specialist manufacturer of Acrylic Optical Filters. They supply a wide range of innovative products and solutions to many industries through to large blue-chip companies.

Due to growth and expansion of the company they are now looking for a new Technical Sales Manager to expand into new markets whilst continuing to manage and develop the current customer base.

The Role:

  • Advise customers on product selection to meet customer requirements and expectations.
  • Identifying and Solving client technical problems
  • Prepare and issue cost effective quotations
  • Be a consistent and accessible point of contact for customers
  • Identify and establish new business opportunities
  • Maintain and develop existing customer accounts
  • Be responsible for marketing (digital and printed) and business development activities
  • Visit trade exhibitions, conferences, customer and supplier meetings
  • Mostly office based but travel throughout UK and Europe will be required.

The Person:

  • You will have proven track record in technical sales.
  • Experience in a related industry.
  • Strong Qualification in related discipline
  • Be able to read and interpret documentation such as product specifications, datasheets, technical drawings, quality standards etc.
  • Use of initiative with a pro-active approach to working activities
  • Highly self-motivated and have the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, high attention to detail
  • Presentable, punctual and timekeeping
  • Possess good organisational skills, prioritise using sound judgement and good business sense
  • Strong IT (Websites, Digital Marketing, Proficient in use of CRM, Excel and Word)
  • European Language would be beneficial
  • Passport and Full UK Drivers licence
