Assistant Accountant – 12 month FTC




We are looking for a Part Qualified Accountant to work with our clients in Berkhamsted, a charity. The role will be varied and you will be managing a team of 3 and the volunteers in the finance team.

The role is full time, 9am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday and on a 12 month fixed term contract.


The role:

  • Managing a team of 3 and the volunteers, recruiting and training new staff
  • Month end and year end reporting
  • Assist with the annual budgeting process
  • Quarterly VAT returns
  • Managing payroll, petty cash and bank reconciliations
  • Dealing with any financial queries
  • Keep up to date with key financial changes



  • Part Qualified (ACCA, CIMA or ACA)
  • Experience of managing a team
  • Experience in financial accounting, including VAT returns, month and year end, and reconciling accounts
