Job Description

The role is a key position within the business, responsible for managing the development team to deliver a variety of ecommerce websites for our clients. As point of contact between customers, account managers and developers you will manage the project backlog as product owner, handle sprints and release planning and maintain reliable and accurate timelines with the customer, keeping them up to date with changes. Based in Hitchin Hertfordshire.


  • Lead magento developer and development team manager
  • Ownership of projects budgets, scope, resourcing, tracking and documentation
  • Manage 3rd party relationships, identify and mitigate risks associated accordingly
  • Proactively collaborate to the project management team excellence
  • Schedule work for internal and external team based on priority and skill set
  • Mentor/guide/instruct junior team members
  • Check that tasks/projects completed correctly and to companies standards
  • Technical liaison between developers, account managers and clients

Technical Skills Required

  • Core skills - full Stack, Magento 1 & 2 Development
  • WordPress Development (Bespoke & Divi)
  • PHP with MySQL
  • Responsive Mobile-first Web Design using Google Materialise and Bootstrap frameworks
  • Advanced HTML/CSS
  • Continuous deployments using JIRA, GIT (BitBucket) and Bamboo/DeployHQ
  • Website speed optimisation using advanced caching technolgies such as Varnish
  • Define the architectural approach and develop the integration between Magento 1 and 2 and 3rd party applications / legacy systems (fulfilment, PIM, payment …etc)
  • Hosting – create hosting, create ftp accounts, setting up SSL’s, Managing DNS records
  • SendGrid and email delivery
  • Mailchimp, create templates
  • Conversion tracking within Google analytics
  • Amazon and eBay integration for Magento and WordPress (M2E Pro)
  • Experience / Knowledge of ERP Systems such as Bright Pearl, Orderwise, LinnWorks


The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate for the Digital Project Manager role is likely to have come from either an agency or client-side background within Digital Product Management, with an understanding of UX principles that make a strong ecommerce marketing website. This individual will have a background within development
