Are you a commercially aware person who is able to engage with customers on any part of the business development process. You will have responsibility for high levels of revenue generation through the winning of retainers and support of business development activities within teams. The major focus of the role should be about the winning of new business and the most time should be spent talking to candidates and to customers. 

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE 

  • Ensure first class delivery of business development assignments within agreed deadlines
  • Manage their own time efficiently and seek to prioritise workloads
  • To ensure the sales funnel model process is followed correctly
  • Ensure revenue generation targets are achieved
  • Continual improvement of business development skills through ongoing training and development both formal and informal
  • Develop managerial skills
  • Implement business development strategy 
  • Start to develop leadership skills
  • To complete all formalised paperwork/information collation that is necessary on a weekly basis
  • Be an “above the line” thinker 

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS 

Must haves:

•     +3 years’ experience in a business development environment 

•     To have an excellent record in delivering business development assignments

•     A track record of consistent billings and over-achieving on targets 

•     Excellent communication and relationship building skills 

•     Managed and grown existing accounts 

•     Demonstrable experience of winning new business 

•     Dealt with Senior level candidates and C-Level stakeholders 

•     Won new business and delivered roles for Tier One clients 

•     Worked on International recruitment projects 

Desirable: 

•     Business development experience in either the recruitment or technology market  

•     Knowledge of the retail and Supply Chain & Logistics industries
